I love this rock stop. It's beautifully made. Whether its sound vibration is significant enough is hard to say. But I do like its sticky pad on its bottom - it's a lot stickier than the popular "black hole" puck. In fact, it takes some effort to peel the stop off a clean wooden floor, when the sticky pad is completely clean. If dirtied, the pad can be detached from the wooden stop - they are connected by velcro. The pad can then be rinsed with water to restore its sticking power. See pictures. Now, you should know that even though the "horn" part looks shiny and metallic, it's not. It is some sort of hard plastic with a coating. My sharp endpin rests on it in the center hole just fine. But the endpin will scratch the surface of the horn where it rests. I don't mind it. However, if this bothers you, you should think twice before ordering, scratching, then returning it for that reason.
